Paphos benefits from a lovely Mediterranean climate with long dry summers and short mild winters.

The weather in Paphos is typical for all coastal cities in Cyprus where, due to the sea, summers are cooler and winters are warmer than inland. However, the marine influence is the strongest here on the west coast. This means in the hot season it is slightly cooler in Paphos than in other cities along the coastline. On average temperature in the hottest months of the year, July and August, goes up to 30°C at daytime which is about 3°C less than in other coastal cities and 7°C less than inland. At night it rarely drops below 20°C. Temperatures for January and February are between 8°C at night and 17°C at daytime.

Summer, June to September sees long sunny days with temperatures averaging just below 30 degrees with some days in July and August hitting mid 30s. The villa's elevated position provides it with almost constant sea breezes keeping guests more comfortable on hotter days. The sea temperatures in August are 27 degrees. 

Autumn, October and November, still see average temperatures of 26 in October and 22 in November with lows of 16 and 12. November tends to be the start of the rainier season with approximately 7 rainy days in the month. Rain usually falls in short heavy downpours. The sea is still comfortable for swimming. The temperatures make it possible to be more active than in the hot summer months.

Winter  December to February is the mild winter period. Average temperatures are 19 in December and 17 in January and February. Rain tends to be in short heavy downpours. The evenings are cool so it is necessary to pack some warm clothing. There are plenty of sunny days which feel like the best spring or autumn days in the UK. 

Spring from March to May is a lovely time to visit with the return of sunny warmer weather. March temperatures of 18, April 21 and May 24 degrees and little rain along with the profusion of spring flowers make this an ideal time for walking holidays or exploring the island. Evening temperatures are 10- 14 degrees.
